Title: Social Educator - Assistive Technology
Location: Chatswood, NSW
Engagement: Part-time
We are currently seeking motivated and respectful individuals to join our project in Chatswood. This exciting position will deliver tailored and individualised training programs to adults with intellectual disabilities and other disabilities in the use of technology to develop their capacity and independence using various both Assistive and Adaptive technology software and hardware.
In the position you will
● Provide 1:1 or small group training and support in response to individual clients needs
● Plan, implement and deliver technology training to client
● Research technology solutions to meet the client’s goals
● Produce and design instructional materials to reflect the client’s needs
● Develop goals with the client
● Review and evaluate training programs
● Ensure that all programming undertaken is appropriately maintained,
documented, and reviewed.
● Report regularly to project lead
● Provide back up and support to other staff, as necessary.
● Contribute to Client Progress Report with other staff as required
● Work with clients, family/ carers, relevant case managers and other
professionals to support the client's individual goals.
● Monitor the safety and well-being of the clients and report any concerns to the
project lead
● Flexible availability to work a variety of shift types

● Graphic design and video editing skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
communicate sensitively and effectively with clients and others, including
individuals from diverse backgrounds
● Possess a mature and professional approach and presentation
● Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to adapt to
varying workloads
● Fluent in English and Korean
Whilst existing experience in the Disability sector is desirable, we welcome applications from those who want to learn more about this exciting career path.
Essential Criteria:
● Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain (HLTAID003)
● NSW Working with Children Check clearance number or willingness to obtain
● Ability to undergo a satisfactory National Police Check
● Certificate III or above in Disability Services (Desirable)
● Right to work in Australia
Nice to have:
● NSW drivers licence (minimum P2)
● Able to travel North shore, Inner west and Hills district area
